Le 1er janvier 2023, une nouvelle ère s’est ouverte pour la région Chaleur avec la création de Belle-Baie, une municipalité née d’une audacieuse réforme provinciale de la gouvernance locale. Cette nouvelle ville regroupe les anciennes municipalités de Beresford, Nigadoo, Petit-Rocher, Pointe-Verte, ainsi que les districts de services locaux avoisinants.

Avec une population de 14 335 habitants, Belle-Baie se distingue comme un lieu exceptionnel où la nature s’allie à la culture. Entre forêt et mer, nos paysages offrent des panoramas spectaculaires, faisant de notre région un véritable paradis pour les amoureux de la nature.

Mais la richesse de Belle-Baie ne se limite pas à ses paysages. La ville vibre au rythme de ses festivals animés et de ses événements artistiques. Fière de son héritage acadien, la municipalité a adopté le français comme langue de travail et notre slogan — « Belle de nature, riche de culture » — reflète pleinement notre identité.
Belle-Baie a également été désignée Communauté francophone accueillante, une initiative visant à favoriser l’intégration des nouveaux arrivants d’expression française et à renforcer leur sentiment d’appartenance. Tout en étant profondément attachés à nos racines, nous valorisons la diversité et reconnaissons la richesse que chaque culture apporte à notre communauté.

A New Chapter Begins
On January 1, 2023, a new chapter began for the Chaleur region with the creation of Belle-Baie, a town born from an ambitious provincial reform in local governance. This new municipality brings together the former towns of Beresford, Nigadoo, Petit-Rocher, and Pointe-Verte, along with surrounding local service districts.
